Entry-level Lube Tech/Technician
About The Position
Valvoline Instant Oil Change is hiring an entry-level Lube Technician to provide customer service and perform preventive maintenance services to help keep guests safe on the road. Previous automotive experience is not required; the company provides hands-on training. Training covers oil changes, checking and refilling fluids, tire rotations, battery testing and replacement, light and wiper inspection and replacement, 18-point maintenance checks, and other preventive maintenance services. The role requires schedule flexibility, including likely weekend availability, but does not involve late-night or holiday work. Employees work in a non-climate-controlled environment and must be able to perform the physical activities described in the posting.
Requirements
- Bring a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for learning.
- Be eager to learn, friendly, and interested in working as part of a customer-focused team.
- Have schedule flexibility; weekend availability is likely.
- Be able to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions.
- Be fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking.
- Be able to stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to crouch, bend, twist, and work with hands above the head.
- Be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide top-tier customer service to guests.
- Perform oil changes.
- Check and refill vehicle fluids.
- Rotate tires.
- Test and replace batteries.
- Inspect and replace lights and wipers.
- Perform 18-point maintenance checks.
- Perform other preventive maintenance services.
