Entry-Level Automotive Technician
About The Position
Coughlin GM in Marysville is hiring full-time entry-level automotive technicians. The position offers a competitive wage dependent on experience. Technicians perform lubrication services and vehicle checks, identify needed maintenance, and document repairs and materials used. The schedule is flexible and typically around 40 hours per week; flat-rate technicians have no cap on hours turned. Service departments are closed Sundays and open until 6 p.m. during the week. Requirements
- Automobile repair experience.
- Knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in vehicle repair and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform all lubrication services.
- Perform a thorough check of the customer's car.
- Advise the service manager of needed maintenance and preventative measures.
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
- Document all repairs performed.
- Document all materials used.
- Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Follow all company safety procedures.
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous-waste disposal.
