Entry-Level Automotive Technician
About The Position
Coughlin Toyota of Heath is hiring full-time entry-level automotive technicians. The role offers a competitive wage dependent on experience. Technicians perform vehicle lubrication and inspection services, identify needed maintenance, coordinate with the parts department, document repairs and materials, and maintain a safe, orderly work area while following applicable regulations. The schedule is flexible and is typically around 40 hours per week. There is no cap on hours turned for flat-rate technicians. Service departments are closed Sundays and open until 6 p.m. during the week.
Requirements
- Automobile repair experience.
- Knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in vehicle repair and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform all lubrication services.
- Thoroughly inspect customers’ vehicles.
- Advise the service manager of needed maintenance and preventative measures.
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
- Document all repairs performed.
- Document all materials used.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures.
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, including requirements for hazardous-waste disposal.
