About The Position

Giles Nissan is hiring an entry-level Express Technician for its service team in Lafayette, Louisiana. This hands-on role is intended for someone who wants to gain practical automotive experience and develop toward becoming a full-line certified technician. The position emphasizes learning, teamwork, attention to detail, and providing quality service in a supportive environment. Weekends are off. Starting pay is $13 per hour, with higher pay possible based on experience.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be hardworking, eager to learn, and take pride in doing the job correctly.
Be comfortable using tools and performing physical tasks.
Be team-oriented, positive, and professional.
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Have basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, brake pad replacements, and vehicle inspections.
Follow dealership and factory standards on all repair orders.
Communicate effectively with the parts department and service advisors.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and properly care for tools.
Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools as needed.
Provide excellent service and attention to detail on every vehicle.
