About The Position

As a part-time Security Guard Part Time Entry Authorization in Houston, Texas, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. The role also involves providing professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. Working conditions may vary by location. The listed schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.33 per hour.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials or authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access records.
Control access to shipping areas, loading docks, operational spaces, and perimeter gates in accordance with site requirements.
Respond calmly to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
