About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Entry Authorization in Beech Island, South Carolina, serving a healthcare location. The role manages entry points, verifies credentials, issues badges, monitors access activity, and helps maintain a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The officer uses technology, communicates professionally, and provides visible security support to help deter incidents. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and pays $15.95 per hour. Officers may use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control and badge systems.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, patients, visitors, and vendors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor logs according to healthcare location procedures.
Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
Direct visitors, remain aware of restricted areas, and report unusual activity to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.
