Security Officer Part Time Entry Authorization

About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Hanover, Pennsylvania, you will help safeguard a food and beverage facility by maintaining a welcoming, controlled environment. You will monitor access points, verify credentials, assist visitors, employees, contractors, and vendors, document security-related activity, and support routine patrols to deter incidents. The role calls for clear communication, reliability, teamwork, care, integrity, and agility. The schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Control access to the facility by verifying identification, visitor authorizations, contractor credentials, and delivery documentation in accordance with site requirements.
Monitor entry and exit points; maintain accurate visitor and vehicle records; issue access credentials as authorized; and report access irregularities to site leadership.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
