About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Entry Authorization in Houston, Texas, to serve at a residential community. The officer will help manage entry points, verify access, greet residents and visitors, and contribute to a welcoming and secure environment. The role involves using computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicating professionally, and addressing security-related concerns. The position is scheduled for Mondays and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and pays $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for residents, guests, delivery personnel, and contractors according to community procedures.
Respond calmly and constructively to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; document relevant details and notify appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, package, and vehicle access records as required by site-specific policies.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
