About The Position

As the Enterprise Solutions Engineering Manager at Ashby, you will lead and grow a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers who are responsible for our most strategic and complex deals. Your team will collaborate closely with Enterprise Account Executives to achieve both technical and commercial success, guiding large organizations through in-depth technical evaluations and demonstrating how Ashby can fundamentally transform their hiring processes. You will be instrumental in shaping and scaling Ashby's enterprise SE strategy by hiring exceptional talent, coaching them to achieve mastery, operationalizing excellence, and refining processes to increase team and business success. This is a highly strategic role with a direct impact on revenue, product direction, and customer value.

Requirements

  • Experience managing or mentoring Solutions Engineers in complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise SaaS sales motions.
  • Proven ability to hire, grow, and develop people, with success measured by team performance.
  • Strategic thinking regarding process, enablement, and operational excellence.
  • Natural ability to partner with Sales Leadership and cross-functional stakeholders (CS, Product, Implementation) and influence with clarity and conviction.
  • Strong business and technical acumen to guide teams in connecting product capabilities to measurable enterprise outcomes.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and coach others.
  • Experience building POC frameworks, RFP libraries, competitive playbooks, and demo environments with intentionality.
  • Empathy for enterprise Talent teams and a passion for solving their nuanced challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems or deep familiarity with enterprise TA workflows.
  • Experience building POC frameworks, value engineering models, or technical trial structures for enterprise deals.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects in rapidly scaling organizations.
  • A background as a technical IC (SE, Solutions Architect, or similar) before moving into management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a high-performing Enterprise SE team, including hiring, onboarding, and developing world-class Solutions Engineers.
  • Coach SEs on enterprise-specific skills such as discovery with complex buying committees, POC design and execution, security and compliance conversations, API-level technical fluency, and executive-level storytelling.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, rigor, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Drive excellence in enterprise deal execution by partnering with Enterprise sales leadership to align on pipeline and priorities.
  • Oversee the team's involvement in demos, POCs, trials, security reviews, and RFPs across multiple stakeholder buying groups.
  • Review and elevate team execution, providing technical expertise when needed.
  • Build scalable systems, processes, and enablement for the enterprise SE motion, refining demo workflows, POC frameworks, trial structures, RFP processes, and internal knowledge bases.
  • Develop enablement materials for complex, long-horizon deals, including competitive positioning, security questionnaire libraries, integration playbooks, and value frameworks.
  • Identify patterns from the field and translate them into product feedback, roadmap insights, and internal process improvements in partnership with Product and Engineering.
  • Partner cross-functionally with CS, Product, Marketing, and Implementation to ensure seamless handoffs and consistent enterprise messaging.
  • Drive strategic initiatives from diagnosis to impact, identifying high-leverage problems and developing solutions.
  • Own implementation end-to-end, managing change, aligning stakeholders, and driving adoption.
  • Operate as a strategic contributor beyond the immediate team, shaping how Ashby scales.
