About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking an Enterprise IT Transition Senior Manager to establish and lead the CIO’s repeatable capability for technology due diligence, acquisition readiness, post-close integration, and transition services. The role serves as the accountable M&A technology leader from early pipeline engagement through Day 1, stabilization, and the initial months of integration. It combines strategic capability leadership with hands-on IT program management to support faster integrations and divestitures, clearer decision rights, less rework, and more predictable resource demands. When an M&A event is activated, the Senior Manager serves as IT Integration Program Manager, establishing governance, coordinating CIO resources, managing risks and decisions, and providing executive-level insight into progress, effort, dependencies, and completion. The role leads and develops team members supporting M&A planning and execution. The position is hybrid and requires U.S. citizenship due to the nature of work performed within the facility.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience leading complex, multi-workstream IT programs and establishing and operating supporting management disciplines, including executive governance, integrated planning, dependency management, risk and issue management, executive reporting, delivery accountability, and cutover or operational readiness processes.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading complex technology transitions, M&A integrations, divestitures, enterprise transformations, or cross-functional technology programs, including technology due diligence and translating technical findings into business implications, executive decisions, and actionable implementation plans.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading and developing teams and influencing matrixed contributors.
  • Knowledge of enterprise IT services, including identity and access management, endpoint, collaboration, applications, data, infrastructure, service management, and support operations.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain a reliable operating picture, and identify gaps, dependencies, and follow-through risks.
  • Ability to lead stakeholder working sessions and steering forums across CIO, sectors, corporate development, and functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to create concise, candid, decision-ready written and verbal executive reporting on program status, risks, scope changes, resource demand, dependencies, and trade-offs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or Engineering.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Identify repeatable patterns across transactions and recommend improvements to the CIO operating model, governance, tools, and capacity for supporting concurrent integrations or divestitures.
  • Build relationships with Corporate Development, functional and sector leaders, CIO leadership, and technology stakeholders to support early CIO engagement in the M&A pipeline.
  • Coordinate structured technology diligence covering compatibility, operational risk, scalability, data, infrastructure, applications, vendors, contracts, and transition dependencies.
  • Translate diligence findings into executive-ready implications, decisions, effort estimates, risks, dependencies, and recommended actions.
  • Create and maintain structured post-close plans for Day 1, stabilization, and IT systems and services alignment during the first months of integration.
  • Establish readiness criteria and decision gates for identity, endpoint, collaboration, applications, data, service management, network, support, and business continuity.
  • Lead IT integration program execution after an M&A event is triggered, including governance cadence, steering forums, integrated plans, RAID management, decision logs, status reporting, escalation paths, testing, cutover, communications, and hyper care.
  • Align CIO and business stakeholders with differing priorities, timelines, and readiness definitions; translate executive decisions into delivery direction and delivery realities into decision-ready options.
