About The Position

This position reports to the Director of Enrollment Systems in the Enrollment Operations and Student Services department and supports the administrative functions within Enrollment Management. This employee will be expected to perform a number of vital roles based on the graduate and undergraduate admission cycle. Tasks will include, but are not limited to, managing the application and admission credential process for graduate admissions, undergraduate admissions, and financial aid; mail receipt and sorting, scanning and indexing documents, and data-entry. This individual is responsible for the performance of advanced assignments and special projects in support of the Enrollment Management Group. Administrative work requiring initiative and independent judgement. Maintenance of confidential information while ensuring the efficient operation of the office of Enrollment Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in admissions or student services at the college/university level or closely related environment dealing with the public.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy while multi-tasking.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office Software; familiarity with Slate and Banner preferred.
  • Data entry, scanning and indexing.
  • Ability to make decisions in accordance with established policies.
  • Ability to be proactive, strategic and deadline-oriented in a complex organization.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to deal with people in a courteous and tactful manner regardless of circumstances.
  • Ability to exceed recruitment goals, facilitate staff development opportunities, exhibit teamwork, model analytical & critical thinking, engage in creative problem solving and demonstrate high levels of time management and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains queries, populations, and data exports within Slate to support communication campaigns and segmentation strategies.
  • Assists in assembling and preparing recipient lists for Slate Deliver email and SMS campaigns.
  • Supports campaign setup and deployment within Slate Deliver, including: Assigning populations, Scheduling sends, Applying established templates and communication structures.
  • Executes routine updates to communication templates and campaign configurations under the direction of Communications Technology leadership.
  • Ensures alignment of population builds with approved campaign plans and segmentation logic.
  • Monitors and assists with Communications Technology requests through TDx or equivalent ticketing system.
  • Fulfills routine requests including: Population builds and list pulls, Minor updates to existing templates, Campaign scheduling support within Slate.
  • Route complex or strategic requests to the Senior Assistant Director or Director as appropriate.
  • Assists in preparing communications for major cycle events, including: Admission decision releases, Financial aid communications executed through Slate, Event-based communication campaigns.
  • Supports documentation and organization of campaign schedules, assets, and workflows.
  • Assists with basic troubleshooting of campaign setup issues within Slate, escalating when necessary.
  • Provides cross-trained support to Enrollment Operations during high-volume periods, including: Summer cycle preparation activities, Application and document processing workflows, Large-scale intake and indexing of incoming materials.
  • Assist with operational tasks such as: Data entry and record updates, Batch processing of documents, Queue management and backlog reduction during peak periods.
  • Serve as flexible staffing support to ensure continuity of operations across both communications and operations functions.
  • Participates in structured cross-training to maintain readiness for both communication and operational responsibilities.
  • Serves as a backup for other systems related responsibilities, such as communication system needs, to ensure accuracy in enrollment-related processing.
  • Participates in special admission events, such as DUQ days and Accepted Student Days.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support the functions of a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
