About The Position

At Janicki Industries, we turn complex ideas into real-world solutions through advanced engineering and manufacturing. Our teams design and build innovative structures, tooling, and systems that support industries including aerospace, space, defense, marine, and architecture. Across every role, from engineers and technicians to operations and support teams, our people help solve challenging problems, push the limits of design and manufacturing, and create solutions that make a lasting impact. The BIS team bridges engineering, design, manufacturing, and IT — translating business requirements into technical solutions, building dashboards and queries that drive program decision-making, and supporting every phase of system implementations from requirements gathering through go-live and stabilization. The Engineering Systems Analyst (ESA) solves engineering and product lifecycle information problems by analyzing requirements, configuring and optimizing CAD and PLM platforms, and recommending system controls and workflows that support design, manufacturing, and engineering operations. The ESA serves as the critical liaison between engineering, manufacturing, IT, and program management — translating design and production needs into actionable system requirements and driving continuous improvement across CAD, PLM, and design software environments.

  • Familiarity with basic SQL queries or experience with Power BI or similar reporting/dashboard tools
  • Coursework or experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering, or systems documentation
  • Understanding of engineering or manufacturing environments (aerospace, automotive, or related industries)

Responsibilities

  • Independently reviews, analyzes, and evaluates complex business systems, workflows, and user needs across multiple stakeholder groups to identify gaps and drive improvement opportunities
  • Leads requirements elicitation engagements end-to-end through interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, use cases, and business process descriptions

  • Designs and leads delivery of complex reports, dashboards, and application solutions aligned to enterprise and program-level business requirements
  • Serves as primary liaison between engineering, design, manufacturing, and IT teams, leading translation of CAD/PLM system requirements across organizational boundaries
  • Leads cross-functional workgroups and drives alignment across departments on complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
  • Proactively engages internal and external stakeholders to shape information needs and deliver functional and technical artifacts, use cases, and GUI/interface designs
  • Partners with developers and subject matter experts to establish technical vision, and leads analysis of tradeoffs between usability and performance on system design decisions
  • Owns configuration, testing, and continuous improvement efforts for engineering platforms including Siemens NX, Siemens Teamcenter, and Dassault Systèmes CATIA V5, and actively contributes to PLM system design and integration decisions across these environments
  • Owns and maintains engineering system process flows, CAD/PLM data control policies, integration specifications, configuration change records, and design data management procedures
  • Leads CAD/PLM implementation and upgrade project phases end-to-end, including requirements definition, UAT coordination, go-live support, and post-deployment stabilization; oversees CAD software license management and upgrade planning
  • Drives advancement of CAD/PLM software use methodology through advanced training, automation scripts, macro routines, and integration with other engineering systems (e.g., Kubatek, ECTR)
  • Enforces and refines industry standards and data control practices across engineering design processes; owns the effectiveness and currency of PLM/CAD training methodology and data control procedures
  • Design and maintains advanced engineering data queries, design metrics dashboards, and operational reports using SQL, Power BI, or PLM-native reporting modules to support program management and engineering decision-making
  • Independently analyzes PLM and CAD system data to identify trends, anomalies, and high-value opportunities for engineering process improvement
  • Leads engineering and design teams in translating complex reporting needs into structured data requirements and visual analytics solutions aligned to PLM and program management workflows
  • Leads development, documentation, and status reporting of improvement implementation plans across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Recommendations and helps implement system controls, protocols, and process improvements based on independent analysis findings
