About The Position

The Engineer 1 maintains the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort’s physical functionality and safety, helping deliver a positive experience for guests. The role covers guest rooms, public spaces, and heart-of-house areas. It responds to guest service requests and team-member work orders, performs repairs and maintenance across multiple building systems, conducts preventive maintenance inspections, and documents work completed and issues needing further attention. The schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience.
• Previous building experience involving projects with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing elements.
• Ability to work a schedule that could include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical functionality and safety of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, and heart-of-house areas.
• Respond promptly to guest service requests and team-member work orders.
• Perform repairs and maintenance involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and masonry.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of facilities and equipment and address identified needs.
• Document completed inspections and repairs and flag issues requiring further attention.
