About The Position

Responsible for delivering safe, effective, quality, patient- and family-centered care in the ambulatory surgery center (ASC). Under the supervision of the ASC registered nurse, the support staff maintains a consistent level of practice by demonstrating appropriate knowledge, skills, and behaviors. The role performs patient care tasks delegated by the ASC registered nurse and provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic manner. It incorporates individual differences in care, integrates knowledge, skills, and experience to meet patient and family needs throughout the continuum, and uses standards, guidelines, and protocols to guide care delivery. The position also uses data and information to continuously improve care and practice outcomes and supports improvements in the practice setting through teamwork, training, continuing education, and personal development.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a health care setting.
• BLS certification obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Nursing Assistant Certification.
