About The Position

The Endoscopy Technician I prepares and maintains medical endoscopic instruments, equipment, and sterile setups according to manufacturer recommendations and facility standards. The role performs safety checks to verify that equipment is functioning properly, prepares rooms, positions or transports patients, and assists physicians and nurses. The technician also conducts in-service training sessions to share information about equipment and instruments. This position is in the Endoscopy department at the Ambulatory Surgery Center at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon, Illinois. It is scheduled for 40 hours per week during daytime hours, with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

One year of healthcare experience.
Nursing Assistant certification, Certified Medical Assistant certification, or National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
