About The Position

The EMT-B/PTN is a member of a two-person ambulance care team. The role performs prehospital emergency responses, transports patients between facilities, and assists with patient care under the direction of a paramedic. The EMT also operates and maintains PTN vehicles to ensure they are safe and ready to respond when called. The schedule is flexible, with the ability to pick up day, night, or weekend shifts. The listed schedule is 18 hours per week.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to input and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to read maps and follow directions.
• Certified EMT Basic (EMT-B) in the State of Ohio.
• Obtain Michigan licensure within 30 days of hire.
• Maintain a good driving record as required by PTN and PHS.
• Hold a valid driver’s license in the state where the employee will work and have a clean driving record, as demonstrated by an MVR, to qualify for coverage under the company’s insurance policy.
• CPR certified.
• Obtain and maintain BCLS, ITLS, and PEPP certifications within six months of hire.
