About The Position

AMR is hiring a full-time Emergency Medical Technician to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and provide patients with high-quality care, treatment, and customer service. The role is based in West Ashley and has a 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. schedule.

EMTs assess patients, determine appropriate care, and deliver emergency services using relevant medical techniques and equipment. They document patient information, condition, and treatment while protecting confidentiality and patient rights. They help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment, operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws, and work professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs. The role also includes participation in community programs to support AMR’s image and community relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT license.
• State driver’s license.
• BLS and NREMT credentials.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass the Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience; healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
