About The Position
The ambulance operator is responsible to provide high quality emergency transportation to sick and injured patients.
Requirements
- BLS required at hire, If not AHA, must obtain AHA BLS within 3 months of hire
- Valid Driver's License
- High School diploma or GED

- Minimum two years’ driving an ambulance
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to dispatched calls and provide patient transport support
- Perform pre-shift ambulance inspections (fuel, fluids, equipment) and report maintenance needs
- Maintain proper inventory and stocking of medical and first aid supplies
- Assist patients safely onto stretchers and into/out of the ambulance
- Provide basic first aid care (bandaging, splinting, oxygen administration)
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain ambulance interior/exterior; properly dispose of medical waste and soiled linens
- Accurately document patient transports, mileage, and services in daily driving logs
- Communicate and report incident details to medical personnel and law enforcement as needed
