About The Position

This is an opportunity to enroll in the EMS Training Academy and take the first step toward becoming a certified EMT-B. Graduates of the academy are offered a full-time EMT-B position with Puckett EMS, with a minimum 24-month full-time employment commitment following licensure. The academy is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, hands-on skills, and real-world experience needed to excel in the field. The program includes classroom settings with live instructor-led classes/labs and webcast courses, clinical rotations on Puckett EMS ambulances, and orientation. Participants are expected to fully engage with attendance to all classes, labs, and clinical rotations, promptly test for NREMT, and commit to working for Puckett EMS in a full-time position for at least 2 years after acquiring state licensure.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Possess a valid Class C driver's license with at least 1 year of driving experience.
  • Pass a pre-employment interview.
  • Pass pre-employment testing (FISDAP exam).
  • Pass a background check (including Motor Vehicle Record screening).
  • Pass a drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Attend all classes, labs, and clinical rotations.
  • Promptly test for NREMT within 1 week from course completion.
  • Commit to working for Puckett EMS in a full-time position for at least 2 years after acquiring state licensure.
