About The Position

EMS Academy - Central EMS (Roswell) is now accepting applications for our August EMS Training Academy! This program is designed to transform your passion for helping others into a rewarding and fast-paced career in emergency medicine. As a graduate of our academy, you will be offered a full-time EMT-B position with Central EMS, a proud part of the Priority Ambulance Family of Companies, with a minimum 24-month full-time employment commitment following licensure. The academy is a 10-week program (plus a 1-week orientation) held in Roswell, GA, with a mix of live instructor-led classes, labs, and webcast courses. Graduates are expected to promptly test for NREMT and commit to working for Central EMS for at least 2 years after acquiring state licensure.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid Class C driver's license with at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Be able to pass a pre-employment interview.
• Be able to pass pre-employment testing (FISDAP exam).
• Be able to pass a background check (including Motor Vehicle Record screening).
• Be able to pass a drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Attend all classes, labs, and clinical rotations.
• Complete 48 clinical hours on Central EMS ambulances.
• Promptly test for NREMT within 1 week from course completion.
• Commit to working for Central EMS in a full-time position for at least 2 years after acquiring state licensure.
