About The Position

This is an opportunity to enroll in the EMS Training Academy starting August 10, 2026, in Athens, GA. The program is designed to train individuals to become certified EMT-Bs. Graduates will be offered a full-time EMT-B position with National EMS, a part of the Priority Ambulance Family of Companies, with a minimum 24-month employment commitment after licensure. The academy includes classroom instruction, labs, webcast courses, and 48 clinical hours on National EMS ambulances. The program is 10 weeks long, plus a 1-week orientation, running Monday through Friday from 0900 to 1700.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Possess a valid Class C driver's license with at least 1 year of driving experience.
  • Pass a pre-employment interview.
  • Pass pre-employment testing (FISDAP exam).
  • Pass a background check (including Motor Vehicle Record screening).
  • Pass a drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Attend all classes, labs, and clinical rotations.
  • Promptly test for NREMT within 1 week of course completion.
  • Commit to working for National EMS in a full-time position for at least 2 years after acquiring state licensure.
