The Employee Engagement Specialist partners with HR, leaders, and key stakeholders to drive adoption, understanding, and enthusiasm for HR programs and organizational change. This role designs and delivers engagement strategies, change management plans, and internal HR communications that help employees feel informed, supported, and connected, especially during periods of transformation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Development, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in employee engagement, change management, HR communications, or a related role
  • Proven experience supporting organizational or HR program change
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual (English and French)

Nice To Haves

  • Change management certification (Prosci, ACMP, or similar)
  • Experience working with engagement surveys and analytics tools
  • Background partnering with large or distributed employee populations
  • Familiarity with HRIS, intranet platforms, or digital communication tools

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement employee engagement initiatives aligned with organizational values and people strategy
  • Analyze engagement survey data, focus groups, and feedback to identify trends and recommend action plans
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent, DEI, Total Rewards, L&D) to embed engagement best practices into programs
  • Support culture-building initiatives, recognition programs, and employee experience moments
  • Develop and execute change management strategies for HR programs, policy updates, and organizational initiatives
  • Conduct stakeholder impact and readiness assessments
  • Create change plans including messaging, training, leader enablement, and reinforcement strategies
  • Coach leaders and HR partners on change adoption and employee readiness
  • Create clear, compelling internal communications for HR initiatives across multiple channels (email, intranet, town halls, toolkits, FAQs, data analytic dashboards, manager talking points)
  • Translate complex HR concepts into employee-friendly messaging
  • Maintain consistent tone, branding, and narrative across all HR communications
  • Support leadership communications related to people programs and change initiatives
  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners, Internal Communications Specialist, and senior leaders
  • Establish metrics to measure engagement, communication effectiveness, and change adoption
  • Continuously refine approaches based on feedback, analytics, and business outcomes
