Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in employee engagement, internal communications, HR, operations, or related work.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence leaders without direct authority.
  • Ability to create simple, repeatable programs and execute consistently across multiple locations.
  • Comfortable working with data (turnover, survey results, themes) and translating insights into action.
  • High professionalism, confidentiality, and ability to operate in a HIPAA-sensitive environment.
  • Willingness to travel to branches/field locations as needed.
  • Ability to read 12 point and larger type.
  • Adequate hearing on the telephone with no more than an amplifier.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
  • Must be able to utilize a PC, calculator, multi-line telephone, and other related office equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute scalable engagement initiatives for office staff, remote employees, and field clinicians across all Ohio markets.
  • Translate leadership priorities into practical engagement programs that support consistency, clarity, and connection across service lines.
  • Build repeatable and sustainable engagement routines (standard cadence, templates, leader toolkits, simple measurement).
  • Own engagement components of onboarding reinforcement and early-tenure experience (first 90-180 days).
  • Partner with HR/Operations to execute touchpoints after 90 days, stay-connected check-ins, and early-risk intervention steps.
  • Identify common early-tenure friction points with HR and managers and coordinate actions to reduce turnover.
  • Support leader behaviors that improve early retention (welcomes, feedback cadence, recognition, clarity of expectations).
  • Own company-wide recognition approach aligned with Patriot values (appreciation, milestones, values-based awards, peer recognition).
  • Ensure recognition is timely, meaningful, and operationally consistent across locations.
  • Create simple ways for leaders to recognize performance and reinforce behaviors supporting accountability, teamwork, and mission-driven care.
  • Coach leaders and managers on engagement fundamentals: communication habits, recognition, feedback, and team connection, especially for dispersed teams.
  • Provide leader playbooks, talking points, meeting templates, and practical tools to improve consistency.
  • Support leaders through change initiatives by building engagement plans.
  • Operate structured surveys, pulse checks, focus groups, and stay interviews in partnership with HR, and summarize themes for leadership.
  • Convert feedback into action plans with the Board of Directors and timelines; follow up to confirm closure and improvement.
  • Serve as a connector between frontline teams and leadership, elevating engagement risks.
  • Perform other duties as required.
