The Emergency Shelter Coordinator works with Case Management staff to address clients’ needs and serves as a contact for partner-agency case managers and clients when case managers are unavailable. The role primarily coordinates cases rather than providing direct services, but may include outreach, prevention and harm reduction, crisis intervention, health education, referrals for substance abuse and mental health services, and benefits counseling. The coordinator builds relationships with governmental, faith-based, nonprofit service providers, and local businesses to support a collaborative, coordinated, client-centered system of care for Southern Nevada’s homeless population. The role also coordinates shelter intake and enrollment, maintains client records and program data, links clients to services, and helps maintain a safe and clean shelter environment. This position works in an office and public, service-delivery environment and may involve exposure to strong odors. The listed pay is $17.00 per hour. Employees must successfully complete a drug test and background check before employment.
