About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center in Beloit, Wisconsin. The role provides patient-centered care in the Emergency Room by using the nursing process, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, and applying clinical expertise to meet patient needs. Mid-shift schedules are 0900–2130 and 1030–2300. Holiday coverage is required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience.
• Active Wisconsin RN licensure.
• Flu vaccination.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• Either TNCC or TNS certification.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process in collaboration with the healthcare team to provide patient-centered care.
• Administer medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state laws.
• Document patient care according to established standards.
• Perform assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives and shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise to support patient longitudinal care plans across departments.
• Use critical thinking to support patient safety and experience, escalating concerns as needed.
• Engage in professional nursing activities, unit practices, and peer review processes.
