About The Position

The Advanced Practice (AP) Team Leader role at Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital includes clinical practice and administrative duties. This role assists with program development, performance management, quality data, and outcome-based performance initiatives. The Advanced Practice Team Leader is responsible for onboarding, managing orientation, and providing performance feedback for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in partnership with collaborating physician(s). Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital has been serving patients and families in Clarksville and the surrounding area for over 70 years, providing high-quality emergency care with experienced physicians and nurses ready around the clock.   • LIC-Physician's Assistant Certified - TennesseeTennessee
  • Relevant Work Experience

  • Master's degree

Responsibilities

  • Balances clinical practice with administrative duties to oversee APPS.
  • Leads a team of APCs.
  • Works closely with the AP Manager, Medical Director, and unit/clinic Nursing Leadership to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Is responsible for onboarding, orientation, and transition to practice for new team members.
  • Provides routine performance feedback and collaborates with physicians on personnel development.
  • Oversees APP PTO approvals and staffing coordination to ensure adequate coverage and team functionality.
  • Assists in program development and performance management initiatives.
  • Supports quality data tracking and outcome-based performance initiatives.
  • Engages in education, AP student support, and professional development within the APC team.
  • Ensures optimal clinical operations and delivery of patient care.
  • Works toward operational goals and productivity benchmarks in collaboration with leadership.
  • Manages day-to-day staffing and scheduling responsibilities.
