About The Position

Porters Neck Village is seeking a hospitality-focused Emergency Medical Technician to provide care in a clinic setting within its independent living community. The role involves responding to residents’ emergency and care needs while contributing to a supportive, professional community environment. The schedule is 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Saturday nights, every other weekend, with additional shift coverage as needed. Pay is $18–$21 per hour, based on shift. Requirements

Current North Carolina EMT certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification.
Current AHA CPR certification, or ability to become certified within 90 days of hire.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

Monitor the emergency call system and respond promptly.
Provide emergency care within the scope of practice, including first aid, CPR, bandaging, and taking vital signs.
Assist residents with mobility and access support as needed.
Accurately document clinic visits and emergency situations.
Follow infection control protocols and safety standards.
Maintain strict confidentiality of resident information.
Respond to emergencies such as fires, power outages, and natural disasters.
Contribute to a hospitable environment by treating residents, employees, and guests with warmth, respect, professionalism, and attention to detail.
