About The Position

Lifeguard Ambulance Service is hiring full-time Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and provide patients with high-quality care, treatment, and customer service. Hourly rates start at $18.00, depending on experience (DOE).

EMTs assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment. They document patient information, condition, and treatment while protecting confidentiality and patient rights. They also help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients; operate ambulances in accordance with company safety policies and applicable traffic laws; and collaborate professionally with fellow EMTs and allied health and public safety personnel. EMTs may also participate in community programs to support the company’s image and community relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• State driver’s license.
• National or state EMT certification.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, determine necessary care, and provide emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills, communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools to provide care.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws applicable to emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain the company’s image and establish strong community relations.
