About The Position

The Elevator Operator acts as an ambassador for Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa by greeting and meeting guests while operating the two Main Inn elevators. The role requires detailed elevator operation to safely transport Resort guests to their desired floors and assist bell staff. The operator also supports other employees as needed to provide exceptional guest care. The position includes interacting hospitably with guests, monitoring their safety in elevator and public areas, maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the elevators and surrounding entrances, and reporting elevator-mechanism maintenance issues. The operator stays at lobby level when not transporting guests and uses a daily event sheet to help guests locate meeting rooms and dining facilities. Other duties may be assigned by Management to benefit the Resort and its services.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to work well under high-pressure situations related to guest needs.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be at least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

Operate the Resort Main Inn elevators and transport guests and bell staff to their desired floors.
Interact with guests in a friendly and hospitable manner in the elevators and public areas, while monitoring their safety.
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the elevators and the areas outside their entrances.
Report maintenance problems with elevator mechanisms to appropriate persons.
Keep a daily event sheet available to help guests find meeting rooms and dining facilities.
Remain posted at lobby level when not transporting guests and be available to provide guest service.
Perform other duties and tasks as directed by Management to benefit the Resort and its services.
