About The Position

Residential Elevators is hiring a full-time, paid Elevator Install Mechanic Apprentice in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area. The role is designed for someone starting a long-term career in the skilled trades. Apprentices receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced elevator mechanics while learning to install and service custom residential elevators. Most apprentices are promoted within 12–18 months to Service Technician or Installation Mechanic, with stated post-promotion earning potential of $60,000–$90,000 or more.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 90%, mostly regionally around Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
• Physical capability to lift more than 50 pounds and perform hard physical work.
• Comfort working at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces.
• Knowledge of safe hand-tool use.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

• Prior experience in construction, electrical, mechanical, or elevator industries.
