About The Position

Huntington Learning Center is seeking caring, enthusiastic tutors to help students in grades K–5 develop academic skills, confidence, and motivation. Tutors teach one-on-one or in groups of 2–4 students, using Huntington’s provided curriculum and individualized student programs. The role focuses on teaching without requiring tutors to create lesson plans, develop curriculum, grade homework, or take work home. Paid training and the tools needed for the role are provided. This is meaningful part-time work with a flexible schedule during weekday afternoons and evenings and on Saturdays.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Be patient, encouraging, dependable, and professional.
• Have strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help children succeed.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching, tutoring, or other experience working with children is preferred.
• Teaching certification or license is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary students in reading, phonics, writing, and math.
• Provide individualized support based on each student’s needs.
• Build students’ academic skills, confidence, and motivation.
