About The Position

Huntington Learning Center is seeking caring, enthusiastic tutors to help students in grades K–5 develop academic skills, confidence, and motivation. Tutors teach one-on-one or in groups of 2–4 students, using Huntington’s proven curriculum and individualized student programs. Curriculum and paid training are provided, so tutors do not need to create lesson plans, develop curriculum, grade homework, or take work home. The role offers a flexible part-time schedule, with hours available Monday–Thursday from 2:00–8:30 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Patient, encouraging, dependable, and professional.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help children succeed.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching, tutoring, classroom, or other experience working with children is preferred.
• Teaching certification or license is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary students in reading, phonics, writing, and math.
• Provide individualized support based on each student’s needs.
• Build students’ academic skills, confidence, and motivation.
