About The Position

Huntington Learning Center is seeking caring, enthusiastic tutors to help students in grades K–5 develop academic skills, confidence, and motivation. Tutors teach one-on-one or in small groups of 2–4 students, following Huntington’s provided curriculum and individualized student programs. Lesson plans, curriculum development, and homework grading are not required, and there is no work to take home. Paid training and the tools needed for the role are provided. This is a flexible part-time position with hours available weekday afternoons and evenings and on Saturdays.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Be patient, encouraging, dependable, and professional.
• Have strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help children succeed.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching, tutoring, classroom, or other experience working with children.
• Teaching certification or license.

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary students reading, phonics, writing, and math.
• Provide individualized support based on each student’s needs.
• Build students’ academic skills, confidence, and motivation.
