Electronics & Housewares Department Manager
About The Position
Bi-Mart is seeking a hardworking and energetic Electronics & Housewares Department Manager to build, promote, and deliver a high degree of customer service. The role supports the store team in creating a welcoming shopping experience and maintaining customer service and friendliness. The manager serves customers, handles transactions accurately, ensures sales clerks receive required breaks, and works with store management to build teamwork and pride of ownership. Other duties include replenishing inventory, keeping department fixtures clean and well-stocked, and helping train new employees on department responsibilities. Bi-Mart is an employee-owned company that has served Northwest communities for over 70 years. Store hours are 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Sunday; an employee’s hours may vary depending on workload and assignment. The listed pay range is $19.30–$20.95 per hour, paid bi-weekly, with an on-demand payment option.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a cashier, sales associate, bagger, courtesy clerk, or in another retail position.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Arrive on time with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Set priorities and organize workload.
- Solve problems efficiently and offer solutions to customers.
- Engage with and assist a variety of individuals.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Think strategically and demonstrate leadership ability.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience at retail brands such as Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, or Albertsons.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, friendly customer service and handle customer transactions accurately.
