The EMC Simulation & Design Engineer will co-own the virtual EMI/EMC roadmap, defining modeling architecture and workflows for standard tests—including Conducted Emissions (CE), Radiated Emissions (RE), Conducted Immunity (BCI), and Radiated Immunity (RI)—across product lines. The role will develop scalable hybrid simulation workflows spanning quasi-static extraction, PEEC/MTL cable modeling, full-wave 3D electromagnetic modeling, and circuit co-simulation, selecting appropriate physics fidelity based on frequency band and geometry scale. The engineer will lead model correlation and validation campaigns by designing experiments, quantifying model accuracy, setting acceptance criteria, and establishing model governance. They will provide EMC guidance during architecture, schematic, layout, and mechanical integration to help prevent issues before prototype builds. The role also involves partnering with test labs and suppliers to align virtual models with real fixtures and ensure vendor component models are suitable for simulation. Additional work includes research and development projects using a vector network analyzer and other RF measurement equipment; EMC chamber mapping and uniformity work; vehicle antenna pattern measurement and matching; correlation studies across vehicle tests, bench-level tests, and EMC test simulation; and instructing or training engineers in simulation methodologies and tool development.
