Requirements
- Successful completion of the Electrician Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Possession of a valid license as a journey-level electrician issued by the local Pennsylvania jurisdiction.
- Possession of an active motor vehicle license.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Be able to perform essential job functions.
Responsibilities
- Review blueprints and determine the layout, sequence, and methods needed for electrical tasks
- Install wiring, conduits, fixtures, and components for new construction and renovation projects
- Identify electrical issues and work with technicians or contractors to resolve complex problems
- Guide and instruct trainees and other employees during repair and installation work
- Update technical drawings and records to reflect changes made during projects
- Follow safety practices when using ladders, lift equipment, and protective gear
