About The Position

The EPG Rental Technician services, diagnoses, and repairs electric power generation rental equipment, including power, temperature-control, air, pumps, and used equipment. Work is performed at Carter facilities or customer facilities. The role requires supporting rental equipment independently in the field as needed, providing customer service, and responding to after-hours emergency service requests. The technician may need to work additional hours and travel out of town, including internationally, to meet customer demands.

Requirements

Thorough understanding of Gensets, air compressors, fuel tanks, and pumps.
Advanced troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment and independently in the field as needed.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Good organization and workload-prioritization skills, with a focus on excellent customer service.
Availability for after-hours emergency service requests 24/7/365.
Ability to work additional hours and travel out of town, including internationally, as needed.
Experience using and applying electronic software.
Excellent driving record and ability to obtain a CDL and/or DOT certification.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to meet the listed physical requirements, including lifting or moving up to 70 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with UPS and paralleling systems, diagnosing and troubleshooting engine failures, and performing mechanical repairs to electrical generator systems and related equipment.

Responsibilities

Service, diagnose, and repair EPG rental equipment, including power, temperature-control, air, pump, and used equipment.
Perform product improvement plans on Gensets, air compressors, fuel tanks, pumps, UPS equipment, and paralleling systems.
Work independently in the field as needed to support PSD rental equipment.
Provide after-hours emergency service to customers, 24/7/365.
Prioritize workload and promote a positive customer experience.
Work additional hours and travel out of town, including out of the country, as customer demands require.
