Elbow Bend Trainee - 1st & 2nd Shift Opportunities
About The Position
STS Aerospace in Laconia, New Hampshire, is seeking an Elbow Bend Trainee to fabricate, shape, bend, and assemble metal products for aircraft applications. The employee is expected to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodation when necessary. The role offers first-shift hours Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., or second-shift hours Monday through Thursday, 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. Second shift includes a $1.00 shift differential. The employee must be dependable and consistently, regularly, and predictably present and on time. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Stand and walk regularly; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Have close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
- Locate and mark bending and cutting lines onto workpieces.
- Set up and operate benders.
- Cut, deburr, and size bent tubes, checking conformity with fixtures or mylars as needed.
- Position, align, and fit parts together.
- Verify that workpieces conform to specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble tubing metal products.
- Maintain consistent, regular, and predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
