About The Position

STS Aerospace in Laconia, New Hampshire, is seeking an Elbow Bend Trainee to fabricate, shape, bend, and assemble metal products for aircraft applications. The employee must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodation when necessary, and must be consistently, regularly, and predictably at work and on time. Other duties may be assigned as needed. The position is offered on either a first shift (Monday–Friday, 6:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m.) or second shift (Monday–Thursday, 3:15 p.m.–1:45 a.m.); the second shift includes a $1.00 shift differential.

Requirements

One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodation when necessary.
Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Locate and mark bending and cutting lines onto workpieces.
Set up and operate benders.
Cut, deburr, and size bent tubes, using fixtures or mylars as needed to verify conformity.
Position, align, and fit parts together.
Verify workpiece conformity to specifications.
Fabricate and assemble tubing metal products.
Maintain consistent, regular, and predictable attendance and punctuality.
Perform other duties as assigned.
