About The Position
STS Aerospace in Laconia, New Hampshire, is seeking an Elbow Bend Trainee to fabricate, shape, bend, and assemble metal products for aircraft applications. The role requires performing essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodation when necessary. Opportunities are available on first shift, Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., and second shift, Monday through Thursday from 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. Second shift includes a $1.00 shift differential.
Requirements
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to stand and walk regularly; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
- Locate and mark bending and cutting lines onto workpieces.
- Set up and operate benders.
- Cut, deburr, and size bent tubes to verify conformity, using fixtures or mylars as needed.
- Position, align, and fit parts together.
- Verify workpiece conformance to specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble tubing metal products.
- Maintain consistent, regular, and predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
