About The Position

STS Aerospace in Laconia, New Hampshire is seeking an Elbow Bend Trainee to fabricate, shape, bend, and assemble metal products for aircraft applications. The role requires performing essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodation when necessary. Opportunities are available on first shift, Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., and second shift, Monday through Thursday from 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. The second shift includes a $1.00 shift differential. The employee is expected to be consistently, regularly, and predictably at work and on time. Other duties may be assigned as needed. This is a permanent employee-group position. Requirements

One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Locate and mark bending and cutting lines onto workpieces.
Set up and operate benders.
Cut, deburr, and size bent tubes, verifying conformity with fixtures or mylars as needed.
Position, align, and fit parts together.
Verify workpiece conformity to specifications.
Fabricate and assemble tubing metal products.
Be consistently, regularly, and predictably at work and on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
