About The Position

Supports and coordinates adult and youth recreational sports programs and licensed camp programs, with a primary focus on Pickleball. Plans, organizes, leads, and promotes recreational activities, sports programs, and camps. This is a part-time role scheduled for 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule. The position is onsite at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. The role can accept experience in lieu of a degree.
1–2 years of experience planning, organizing, facilitating, and designing youth and adult recreational programming.
Knowledge of fitness program development and health and safety standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

Pickleball instructor or facilitator experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop training programs tailored to participants' ages, goals, learning styles, and skill levels.
Coordinate individual and group lessons.
Provide instruction and training for recreational sports and licensed camp programs.
Assist with enrollment, scheduling, and coordination of sports programs and events.
Communicate concerns or issues involving sports participants, campers, or staff to management and/or camp participants' guardians.
Ensure equipment is maintained in good working condition and report equipment needs to the Program Manager.
Provide constructive feedback to staff, sports participants, and campers, recognizing strengths and identifying opportunities for improvement.
