About The Position

At Emmi Roth, the EDI & Deductions Specialist researches and resolves customer deductions and chargebacks, including those related to product shortages, damages, pricing discrepancies, customer incentives, and other customer deductions. The role works with Finance and Sales to integrate Trade Spend software into efficient processes. The position also manages and supports electronic business-document exchange between customers, suppliers, and partners. It develops, maintains, and troubleshoots EDI transactions and integrations to support accurate, timely, and secure data transfer. The specialist works with internal teams and external trading partners to resolve issues, onboard new partners, improve processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or equivalent in accounting or another business-related field is preferred.
Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Very detail-oriented.
Analytical skills.
Accomplished user of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience with Oracle systems, such as JD Edwards.
EDI experience.

Responsibilities

Obtain supporting documentation to research and resolve outstanding customer deductions and chargebacks.
Work directly with customers, sales, brokers, finance, customer service, and supply chain.
Identify and assign appropriate reason codes to customer deductions for credit reporting and performance metrics.
Provide proofs of delivery as necessary.
Prepare chargeback notices and documentation for distribution to customers and/or credit specialists for collection.
Define, document, and improve deviation-resolution processes.
Train others on departmental processes.
Support Finance and Sales with integrating Trade Spend software into efficient daily processes.
Support Sales, Customer Relations, Logistics, and Procurement with internal EDI setups in JDE.
Manage product EDI mapping and warehouse setups within JDE, EDI invoice setup, EDI order-acknowledgement setup, and general EDI troubleshooting.
Manage EDI invoicing to customers.
Manage customer relationships during EDI setups and fixes.
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot EDI transactions and integrations.
Work with internal teams and external trading partners to resolve EDI issues, onboard new partners, improve processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
