ED Tech- (FT 90%) Days Adena Pike Emergency Department
About The Position
The Emergency Department (ED) Technician provides basic care for patients across the lifespan in the Adena Pike Emergency Department. The role includes direct patient care, assistance with procedures, clerical duties, and supply maintenance. The technician works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and indirect supervision of the Clinical Manager/Supervisor. The position requires professionalism, accuracy, and the ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment while supporting optimal patient care. This is a full-time position at 90%, working three 12-hour shifts per week, with a weekend rotation. The position offers an hourly rate based on experience. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
- Complete de-escalation training within 90 days of hire and annually.
- Complete the ESI course within 90 days of hire.
- Complete Basic Telemetry within 90 days.
- Complete EMT-Basic coursework or be enrolled in an accredited nursing program; EMT-Basic coursework may be completed within one year of hire.
- Professionalism and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy experience.
- Experience delivering patient care in an Emergency Department.
- EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic certification.
