About The Position

The Emergency Department Technician provides basic care for patients across the lifespan in the Emergency Department. The role includes direct patient care, assistance with procedures, clerical duties, and supply maintenance. The technician works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and the indirect supervision of the Clinical Manager/Supervisor. The position requires professionalism, accuracy, and the ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment while supporting optimal patient care.

This is a full-time 90% position with three 12-hour shifts per week and a weekend rotation at Adena Pike Emergency Department. The hourly rate is based on experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• EMT-Basic coursework, or completion within one year of hire, or active enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• De-escalation training within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• ESI course within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Telemetry within 90 days.
• Professionalism and accuracy.
• Ability to perform in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy experience.
• Experience delivering patient care in an Emergency Department.
• EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic certification.
