ECE Paraeducator - 4 hrs/day (Preschool-Madison)
About The Position
Assists one or more Early Childhood teachers in educating, caring for, supervising, and instructing preschool-aged children. Work takes place in classrooms, common areas, playgrounds at a center dedicated to pre-kindergarten children, and in the community. The role maintains and prepares classroom and related environments and materials, manages forms, and assists in developing play-oriented curriculum. This is a part-time position at Madison, working four hours per day, five days per week, for 12 months. Salary is $19.61–$25.94 per hour across nine annual steps, with placement based on relevant experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six college units in Early Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field emphasizing infant-to-preschool-aged children.
- Successful completion of at least 48 college credit units or passage of a competency assessment.
- CPR and First Aid certification with pediatric endorsement; a valid First Aid card and CPR certificate are required.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in a preschool-aged enrichment program or child care setting.
