About The Position

The ECE Paraeducator assists one or more Early Childhood teachers with the education, care, supervision, and instruction of preschool-aged children. Work takes place in classrooms, common areas, playgrounds, and the community at a center dedicated to pre-kindergarten children. The paraeducator maintains and prepares classroom and related environments and materials, manages forms, and assists with developing a play-oriented curriculum.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Six college units in Early Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field emphasizing infant-to-preschool-aged children.
• At least 48 college credit units or successful completion of a competency assessment.
• CPR and First Aid certification with pediatric endorsement.
• May require a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a preschool-age enrichment program or child care setting.
