ECE Paraeducator - 4 hrs/day (Preschool-Vineland)
About The Position
Assists one or more Early Childhood teachers with the education, care, supervision, and instruction of preschool-aged children. Work takes place in classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds at a center dedicated to pre-kindergarten children, as well as in the community. The position also maintains and prepares classroom and related environments and materials, manages forms, and assists in developing a play-oriented curriculum. This is a part-time position based in Vineland, working four hours per day, five days per week, for a 12-month work year. The hourly salary is $19.61–$25.94 in nine annual steps, with placement based on relevant experience. Medical, dental, vision, and employee life insurance are available to employees working at least four hours per day; the district contributes 50% for employees working 4–5.99 hours per day and the full contribution for employees working six or more hours per day.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six college units in Early Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field emphasizing infant-to-preschool-aged children.
- At least 48 college credit units or successful completion of a competency assessment.
- CPR and First Aid certification with pediatric endorsement; a valid First Aid card and CPR certificate are required.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
- Submit transcripts showing six ECE units, proof of high school graduation or equivalent, NCLB compliance documentation, CPR/First Aid certification, and a resume showing relevant experience.
