About The Position

New Horizon Academy is seeking an Early Preschool Teacher to join its team in North Olathe, Kansas. The educator will help children develop a love of learning and support their social and emotional development in a classroom setting. Teachers work alongside a caring team and receive support from knowledgeable staff. The position offers an hourly wage of $17.40–$21.65, depending on qualifications, and is eligible for a hiring bonus.

Requirements

• Meet state requirements for teacher qualification as defined by the Kansas Child Care Licensing Program.
• Be able to work a full-time schedule Monday through Friday between 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
• Have a positive work ethic and a team-centered attitude.
• Be willing to learn and grow as an educator.
• Enjoy working with children.
• Meet or exceed state qualifications for the position.
• Be able to satisfy the Applicant Background Study required by state regulations.
• Provide documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Have the physical abilities to perform required job duties with or without accommodations.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff, and understand state licensing regulations and company policies.

Nice To Haves

• Previous childcare experience is preferred.
• Interest in beginning or continuing education in early childhood education or a related field.
