Early Preschool Co-Teacher
About The Position
At Primrose School of West Allen, the Early Preschool Co-Teacher works with a co-teacher to create a fun, safe classroom for two-year-old children. Using a daily schedule of purposeful play, the teacher helps children adjust to the classroom environment, develop motor skills, expand vocabulary, and build a lifelong love of learning. The role focuses on fostering curiosity, creativity, and compassion while building genuine relationships with each child. The teacher implements lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum, maintains a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make confident decisions, and discovers what works best for each child as they learn about the world. Compensation is $16.00–$18.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Work with a co-teacher to create a fun and safe classroom environment for two-year-old children.
- Use purposeful play to help children navigate the classroom setting, develop motor skills, and grow their vocabulary.
- Build genuine relationships with each child.
- Implement lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum with the co-teacher.
- Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence.
- Adapt teaching to discover what works best for each child as they learn about the world.
